I will be releasing my Draft Day Special: Mock Draft 2.0 tomorrow evening around 6:3opm ET, and doing a live Twitter feed throughout the entire 2015 NFL Draft, so be sure to tune in. I have Derrick Billups as a 4th-5th Round Pick who has a lot of upside and skill for any team needing a rotational and eventually starting DT. Here is that transcript of the interview:

Trent A. Brinkley:      What does football mean to you?

Trent A. Brinkley:     What made you decide to play at Alabama State?

“What made me decide to go to Alabama State is when I realize I didn’t have a good enough gpa to attend D1 A school. Alabama State was one of the schools that didn’t turn their backs on me and found a way to get me eligible to attend.”

> Derrick Billups

Trent A. Brinkley:     If you weren’t playing football, what would you be doing?

“If I wasn’t playing football, I would probably be playing basketball or working a 9 to 5 job.”

> Derrick Billups

Trent A. Brinkley:     How do you want to be remembered for from your time at Alabama State?

“What I would want to be remembered for at Alabama State is a guy that knows how to succeed in everything he does.”

Trent A. Brinkley:     What traits can you bring to a NFL team on the field, as well as in the locker room?

“Some traits I could bring to the NFL are heart, willing to sacrifice when it is needed, power, explosiveness, and whatever else I can do to help my team win a Super Bowl. “

> Derrick Billups

Trent A. Brinkley:     How did you get interested in playing football?

” I been interested in football every since I was 8 years old. I use to go watch my older brother play all the time and every since then it was love at first sight.. I started playing when I was 9 and never looked back.”

> Derrick Billups

Trent A. Brinkley:     If you could play catch with one current and one former football player who would you pick and why?

” If I could play catch with one current player it would be Tim Tebow because he knows how it feels to have the whole world against him and still have the courage to keep trying. No matter how many times you fall as long as you get right back up and try again that speaks volume. One former player I would like to play catch with is Ray Lewis because he played the game for a very long time and was very successful at it as well.”
