NO: Andrus Peat Quick Recap

The New Orleans Saints desperately need to help Drew Brees. After trading away his best receiving threat, Jimmy Graham, the selection of Andrus Peat will keep the franchise quarterback healthy.

Including the addition of center Max Unger, Peat will help provide Brees with something that he didn’t have much of in 2014 – time in the passing game. Likewise, Peat will help the Saints immediately as well as years to come. Age is quickly catching up to Brees and his successor will soon be on the roster. With the selection of Peat, the Saints will have a protector of their franchise leader (whomever that is) for many years to go.

The selections of offensive linemen are never sexy, but these are the selections that make or break franchises. Good pick for the Saints.

Instant Grade: B+
