NO: Stephone Anthony Quick Recap

The New Orleans Saints needed help on defense, and the selection of linebacker Stephone Anthony deliberately addresses such need. However, I can’t help but feel this is a bit of a reach for the linebacker.

On most mocks, Anthony was slated to go mid to late second round, so his first round selection is a bit of an eyebrow-raiser. However, as stated, he does fit a need for Rob Ryan‘s defense. And for the Saints, the use of their second of two first rounders seemed like the right option.

It’s a risky selection for New Orleans, but then again, aren’t they all?
