Making a pick that would make former coach Rex Ryan happy, the New York Jets gave new head coach (and great defensive mind) Todd Bowles the best player in the draft – defensive lineman Leornard Williams of USC.
The thought of Williams in the Todd Bowles-system is incredibly enticing. Williams’ ability to defensive tackle or end makes him incredibly lethal, and Bowles will move him all over the place – whether that is a 3-4 or 4-3 system. A stud against the run and the pass, that New York defensive is quickly becoming incredibly lethal. Am I right, Darrelle Revis?
