SD: Melvin Gordon Quick Recap

The San Diego Chargers wanted running back Melvin Gordon, so they didn’t wait around. Opting to move up in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers to select their new franchise back.

With the addition of Gordon, the Chargers all of a sudden have a really intriguing two-back attack alongside Branden Oliver. Oliver will be looked at as the bruiser, but really both backs have the ability to run through tacklers and around them.

Bringing Gordon in will go along way to keeping Philip Rivers happy…and may help to bring in a new contract? Wishful thinking?
