Sleeper: Matt Stafford

Coming off of his second straight game with multiple passing touchdowns, Matt Stafford looks to continue his recent trend against one of the weaker secondaries in the NFL; the Kansas City Chiefs. With the current state of the Lions run game, I think Stafford is a must-start guy until further notice.

Don’t Trust: Andrew Luck

In one of the tougher matchups of the week for any quarterback, Andrew Luck gets a tough Carolina Panthers team on the road. This is the first time this season I have Luck as a QB2, but there are just so many better options over him. With the success of Josh Norman and the rest of the Panthers defense, I would give a Luck a sit.

Sleeper: Jeremy Hill & Eddie Lacy

Two first round draft picks as sleepers in Week 8, did anyone predict this? With Hill and Lacy both coming off byes, I truly believe that will come back strong. We have seen the production from them both, so it’s shocking to say the least that they are struggling this heavily. Look for a bounce back week from the both of them, they didn’t disappear yet.

Don’t Trust: Frank Gore

Like I said before about Andrew Luck holds true for Frank Gore, this is one of the worst running back matchups for the week. The Panthers front seven is borderline insane, which has caused fits for most running backs who have had the fortune of playing them this season. After not impressing last week in a favorable matchup against New Orleans, I don’t see how Gore can be trusted against a much tougher defense.

Wide Receivers

  1. Deandre Hopkins
  2. Julio Jones
  3. Antonio Brown
  4. Calvin Johnson
  5. Odell Beckham Jr.
  6. A.J. Green
  7. Keenan Allen
  8. Brandon Marshall
  9. Demaryius Thomas
  10. Mike Evans
  11. John Brown
  12. Randall Cobb
  13. Julian Edelman
  14. Alshon Jeffrey
  15. Emmanuel Sanders
  16. Jarvis Landry
  17. Larry Fitzgerald
  18. Jeremy Maclin
  19. T.Y. Hilton
  20. Eric Decker
  21. Martavis Bryant
  22. Stefon Diggs
  23. Amari Cooper
  24. Donte Moncrief
  25. Steve Smith Sr.
  26. Travis Benjamin
  27. Brandin Cooks
  28. Anquan Boldin
  29. Brandon LaFell
  30. Michael Crabtree
  31. Tavon Austin
  32. James Jones
  33. Michael Floyd
  34. Rishard Matthews
  35. Willie Snead
  36. Rueben Randle
  37. Kendall Wright
  38. Marvin Jones
  39. Golden Tate
  40. Davante Adams

  45. Nate Washington
  46. Torrey Smith
  47. Terrance Williams
  48. Ted Ginn Jr.
  49. Dwayne Harris
  50. Eddie Royal

Sleeper: Rueben Randle

So far this season, the New Orleans Saints have given up the 3rd highest average in yards per completion in the NFL. The past two weeks have been tough on Odell Beckham Jr., as it seems like he is really being hampered by a hamstring problem. With Beckham Jr.’s struggles, Rueben Randle should be a great sleeper. Randle is the deep guy for the Giants, so this could be a great week for Randle and his owners.

Don’t Trust: Larry Fitzgerald

The emergence of John Brown is paying dividends for the Arizona Cardinals this year, but not so much for Larry Fitzgerald’s fantasy value. Brown is slowly becoming Carson Palmer’s favorite target, which has been showing due to recent spike in targets. Fitzgerald is still a WR2 this week for me, but it definitely needs to be watched closely.

Tight Ends

  1. Rob Gronkowski
  2. Tyler Eifert
  3. Greg Olsen
  4. Martellus Bennett
  5. Gary Barnidge
  6. Travis Kelce
  7. Antonio Gates
  8. Jimmy Graham
  9. Eric Ebron
  10. Jason Witten
  11. Delanie Walker
  12. Jordan Cameron
  13. Ben Watson
  14. Richard Rodgers
  15. Larry Donnell
  16. Kyle Rudolph
  17. Ladarius Green
  18. Vernon Davis
  19. Coby Fleener
  20. Jared Cook
  21. Owen Daniels
  22. Jacob Tamme
  23. Heath Miller
  24. Dwayne Allen
  25. Austin Seferian-Jenkins

Sleeper: Eric Ebron

Although Eric Ebron had a solid showing this past weekend with a solid game, I don’t think he’s on people’s radars yet. Ebron should be a great target on the waiver wire this week, as he has a great matchup against the Chiefs. Ebron could be a sneaky bye week play this week, so check the waiver wire.

Don’t Trust: Jason Witten

As the Dallas Cowboys struggle to find themselves without Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, most of the team is struggling. Starting Witten against a great Seattle Seahawks defense isn’t worth the risk, especially with Matt Cassel are your quarterback. If you have better options, I suggest taking them.

Start of the Week

Phillip Rivers of the San Diego Chargers is my start of the week; as he continues to show everyone that he is a top 5 quarterback in fantasy football. He has a great matchup this week in the Baltimore Ravens, who have the worst secondary in football. Rivers a must start for me this week and is also ranked first overall at the quarterback position.
